    POST TSUNAMI IN ACEH

    After tsunami on Dec 26, 2004 Aceh was a death city and became a hot news at that time. Everybody like to heard about latest news from Aceh catastrophe. Disaster on Aceh exposed about catastrophic around Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam, included Nias. Earthquake & Tsunami made buildings around city went to pieces, bodies everywhere, & trash is like a layer on earth. Re-construction starts with city re-cleaning & buried the left bodies. (see the PHOTOS menu on M. Andri Febru).

    Nowadays Aceh re-construction begins with road construction, mechanical & electrical works, urban housing, farming & fishery affairs for the people who lost their jobs, & many else. World aid, civil support, red cross, UN, even military support give a hand to help Aceh people. Civil society organization like Canadian Red Cross-CRC under International Federation of Red Cross Society IFRC also give a start with housing projects in Aceh Besar - see www.redcross.ca .
    In generally CRC stars with :
    - cost survey on people who lost their home,
    - maps & topographic survei,
    - lots fitting out for 45 Meter square housing,
    - title deeds survey & renewal, master plan & site plan design.

    As an architect, I work with management consultant which is deal with many institutions and multiple discipline like ;
    - Civil engineering in order to realize the earthquake structure resistant
    - Psychological, when facing Aceh people who gets their home and implementing their home position and orientation (site planning)
